Meticulously crafted by the Pyrmidian Ghouls, Ebon Guisarmes are potent weapons. The weapon's haft features two dozen holes along its length, each functioning as a relief valve for inky black smoke. When a moderate breeze passes through these perforations, they emit a low, ominous wail. Negative energy surges along the weapon's length. Upon impact, the weapon's head discharges some of this energy, inflicting standard damage plus an additional 1-4 hit points of negative energy for each die rolled for the attack (2-8 normal + 2-8 negative energy damage).
This weapon necessitates periodic recharging via a negative energy rift. It customarily retains sufficient "power" for a month of uninterrupted utilization.
