In the primordial abyss, there existed nothing but Chaos and the primordial forces. The current era is marked by the ascension of the divine and the mortal realms.

Creation & Higher Powers
In the Dawn Era, works of Creation attained permanence. This stood in contrast to the ever-changing Sea of Entropy, which the lords of that system instinctively opposed. The masters of this system, the Primordial Lords, perceived the products of Creationists as an assault on the status quo. Many of the heroes embroiled in the ensuing conflict rose to become leaders of their kind, battling across worlds and systems.
In the God Era, the notion of divine power became more comprehensible. The general principle was that by acquiring mortal adherents devoted to them, deities would gain prestige and abilities. The more followers, the greater their power, which they could then distribute as divine energy to empower their clergy's practices.
Anyone with a sizable worshiper base possesses the potential to ascend to the status of a Higher Power. Immortal and exceptionally powerful, they can nonetheless be slain.
