In the God Era, Dispater, a planetar general, faithfully served under Asmodeus. He fought valiantly in the Demon Spawn War alongside numerous other angels and deities. During a military operation, Dispater traveled to the homeworld of Orcus. The mission's objective was to lure Orcus and his forces away from Naratyr. While the majority of demons were absent, a team infiltrated Orcus's citadel and successfully stole the Anvil of Ongruxiel.

Dispater is an exceedingly cautious individual, preferring a robust defense over an aggressive offense. It was owing to this predisposition that Asmodeus, then the Supreme Commander of Covenant forces, entrusted him with the responsibility of designing defenses against the demons and securing rear regions. One of the impressive fortifications he engineered on Bal-Kriav is a defensive network known as the Viiz Bo Rei.

On the 3rd day of the Lunar month in year 255 of the God Era, at the Trial of Asmodeus, Dispater and others were convicted of constructing a clandestine army and unlawfully exploiting a Well of Afterlife. The original secret army, as well as subsequent formations, comprised the inaugural devils, beings forged from souls not averse to employing dishonorable means to secure victory.

On Bal-Kriav, several cults abide by the caprices of Dispater. However, his sway over this dominion remains negligible, though gradually intensifying.
