After the defeat of Orcus's forces in the Hoof Front, a distinguished Covenant engineer named Dispater set to work constructing a series of fortifications he designated the Viiz Bo Rei. He selected a Draconic appellation in an effort to address certain tensions between the Covenant and the dragon armies under Bahamut.
Viiz Bo Rei, also known as the Sand Flow Row, runs along the western side of the Viiz Bo river. It originates near the northeastern tip of the Iron Talons and extends southward through the Krent Talaav valley to the foothills of the Tu Naar mountains. During the Demon Spawn War, its southern stronghold was a bastion garrisoned by the Hammer of Khage. This once formidable bastion, now in ruins, is known as Thadir.
After the Demon Spawn War, the region was left to the wilds. Spanning a distance of 180 miles from north to south, the Viiz Bo Rei remains a formidable barrier. Constructed from lava stone transported from the Chained Lord, it has endured the test of time and the elements remarkably well. The expansive network of walls, towers, keeps, and redoubts is so extensive that no single effort has been made to maintain them all.
