Shortly after the formation and stabilization of Sphere 411, the Creationist and first dragon Bruh Kreniik placed a youthful green dragon named Hurguulich in the region Leret Dovah, the Aerie of Dragons. Hurguulich was one of several dragons stationed there to assume their roles on the newly formed world. They were tasked with guarding against the impending Primordial onslaught.
Leret Dovah is Draconic for Aerie of Dragons. Many of the region's names are Draconic, designated by Bahamut's cartographers during the God Era. At the time, the area was fiercely contested, with demons battling the Covenant in the Demon Spawn War and two additional conflicts: the Hoof Front and the First Dragon Wake ( 218 GE - 235 GE ) , waged between the armies of Bahamut and his former general, Tiamat. Many of the region's inhabitants are descendants of those who once served under the banners of these two dragons. Two examples are the Khage, descendants of the Hammers of Khage who fought alongside Munkar Khage, and the Vex Viing, descendants of Bahamut's 222nd reconnaissance battalion.
The land of Leret Dovah is renowned for its legendary dragons, with the most storied among them being Amaglothorn, Apocalypse, Glagengrane, Hurguulich, and Sebgult.
In the Lith-Crillion Era, this region was the domain of the dragons. Subsequently, in the Horgon Era, dragon dominance declined with the ascension of Zeymah'kein and Mir'piamauza. Towards the latter stages of the Horgon Era, following the downfall of these two empires, the region became characterized by smaller empires, such as Ag Envok and Thashangriel, as well as numerous city-states.
The dragon cult Vith Alok has maintained a presence in this area for an extended duration. This cult and its subordinate cells are accountable for the downfall of empires and the instigation of turmoil, yet have exhibited unparalleled expertise in constraining the power of dragons. Rather than permitting the customary pandemonium associated with dragon rule, they strive to subjugate dragons and compel them to serve the objectives of Vith Alok or its affiliates.
The subterranean domain located immediately beneath the Aerie of Dragons is Adunamar.
