Raised in the fiery bowels of Yolos Vun, the northern rim of Kii Nev, Apocalypse rapidly ascended the ranks of the Thashangriel. His swiftly expanding power and wealth became a source of envy for certain jealous Muneyd'vith satraps and red dragon generals. In 724, Apocalypse was driven from Thashangriel. He traveled far westward, establishing a hunting ground across the Lands of Purity. In the Iraktharbhun valley, he amassed an army.

In the year 736, the warlord Apocalypse and his army of Graagvrii conquered the city of Iglutt. Within this venerable settlement, he assumed the role of protector for the local goblin tribes, eventually becoming a revered figure among the Graagvrii.

In the year 1064, the firbolg champion Naggor Stormhand laid siege to Apocalypse's metropolis, seizing control of the city and vanquishing its longtime sovereign.

During his time in the Lands of Purity, Apocalypse soared far and wide to mate with other reds. One of the mightiest of his broods was a female red named Apocaleen.
