In 862 HE, the majestic Spire of Neld-Rac descended from the heavens and settled in the town of Fiit Storn. The leader of this Helas Vessel was a revered Saint of Maen known as Neld-Rac. After securing the area, he dispatched his loyal followers into the surrounding countryside to gather humanoids and beasts for his grisly experiments. Records uncovered by the Bralda-Balc chronicle the demise of over a thousand creatures in Neld-Rac's laboratories. The lab journals also provide detailed accounts of the creation of a new race.
4 Bloom, 870 HE : I have finally yielded success in DR 3 . The magical crossbreeding of a Toomrur ogre-magi with a Kriistvrii has produced a powerful, dragon-like humanoid specimen. This first exemplar of a new race, I shall designate as Balfroglemis. The naming of the race itself, I entrust to Ikhenholmbrac.
The diminutive creatures mature rapidly, akin to small reptiles. Possessing innate cunning and a domineering nature reminiscent of the dragons that inhabit this realm, they exhibit a reluctance to cooperate with their own kind, each perpetually vying for supremacy.

Over time, the Muneyd'vith "escaped" their Durkoth masters at the Spire. They set out to establish their own gangs, yearning for greater dominance. A century into the Durkoth Descent ( 995 HE - 1355 HE ), the Muneyd'vith had vanished from the Spire. Some sought to seize control of the Spire, sparking battles across numerous levels and unleashing a myriad of magical monsters and alien entities in the process.
Today, the majority of Muneyd'viths reside within the Aerie of Dragons. While they exhibit a low birth rate, they compensate for this through their remarkable resilience, shrewd intellect, and fierce nature. Undoubtedly charismatic, these beings leverage their leadership prowess, cunning, or even outright intimidation to captivate others. Should these tactics fall short, they then wield their psionic abilities to assert sway and influence.
The term "Muneyd'vith" is Draconic for "humanoid serpent". Instead of bestowing a LangurĂ¢pha word, Neld-Rac passed the honor to the one who had assisted him in creating a new race. This was the black dragon Ikhenholmbrac, who would go on to become a legendary figure in the Lands of Purity. The efforts of these two individuals led to the inception of the Muneyd'vith race. This occurred midway through the Horgon Era, a time when dragons were becoming increasingly prideful. The general Dragon perspective was that the wingless bipeds were inferior to them. It was therefore remarkable that Ikhenholmbrac, out of the numerous dragons he contacted, came to Neld-Rac, freely offering blood, skin, and scales for his experiments. This was an act that no other dragon would have participated in, unless compelled by a greater force. For Ikhenholmbrac, that force was Tiamat.
You will assist this Durkoth lord. He differs from the others, focusing more on his work than on domination. If successful, it will benefit our cause. The Kriistvrii will forever remain beholden to Bahamut, it is in their very nature, so we require a counterbalance, a physical presence. This Neld-Rac undertakes crucial work, act reasonably and maintain contact.

In the Aerie of Dragons, the Muneyd'vith are among the most formidable and astute entities. Numerous malevolent organizations are overseen by their kin, with some ascending to grandeur, transforming into a Dragon Lord.
Muneyd'vith are towering figures, standing between 8 and 12 feet tall and weighing 450 to 900 pounds. They boast lifespans of up to 800 years. Though their appearances may vary, they are distinctly dragon-like humanoids in build. Occasionally, rare births result in quadrupedal variants. These four-legged beasts, though dim-witted, serve as obedient wrecking machines for evil masters. They have been utilized as living siege engines, and upon their demise, their ability to reflect missile fire and magic is harnessed to craft Muneyd'vith Hide shields and armor. No part of a Muneyd'vith goes to waste, as their highly prized scaly skin is also much sought after.
Whale oil serves as an aphrodisiac to the Muneyd'vith. In the decades leading up to the Second Burn ( 1456 HE - 1474 HE ) , the planners of Mir'piamauza utilized this to their advantage against the Zeymah'kein - keeping their enemy's most feared commanders, the Muneyd'vith, more preoccupied with mating than warfare. The notion of employing whale oil against the Muneyd'vith was not a novel concept, as the Durkoth had previously adopted similar tactics to sedate their Muneyd'vith minions. The consequences of these practices in the wild, beyond the Spire, culminated in the creation of the Aggorath ( 996 HE ) ; the result of a mating between a hobgoblin and a Muneyd'vith.
