Mongrelfolk

The city of Griddrir's practice of interbreeding their slave population resulted in the emergence of the first mongrelfolk. Griddrir designated them as a new race, circumventing the Anti-Slave Treaty with the Khazarkar Empire.

In 1420, after more than two centuries of employing them as their new slave pool, the storm titan Queen Kjadval once again confronted the fury of the lowlanders. Unwilling to witness her domains reduced to ruin by four Pyramids of Set and their escorts, she liberated the mongrelfolk. They were transported to the Ânul Hills, left to fend for themselves. Unsurprisingly, rather than remaining in Griddrir, they can now be found as slaves in the frontier holds of Khazarkar.
