In the Aerie of Dragon, the term "Dragon Lord" emerged as the title of a Muneyd'vith leader named Balfroglemis. The Kriistvrii of the Vek Viing used this same designation for him, which was also the term employed by Tiamat to refer to her chosen generals on the war world Avernus.
During the reign of the Zeymah'kein (600 HE - 1600 HE) , the title of Dragon Lord was bestowed upon the empire's highest-ranking general. Subsequently, under the Ag Envok, this designation would come to denote their military dictator.
The title of Dragon Lord has endured through the centuries, often claimed by eminent leaders or heads of government. This designation is chiefly employed within the Aerie of Dragons. On occasion, the term has been invoked by members of the Council of Bile, invariably hailing from the Bile family lineage.
