The Lab Journals of Neld-Rac is an anthology comprising 164 lab books authored by Neld-Rac. They document his experiments on living subjects and endeavors to craft novel lifeforms. The texts recount the creation of the Muneyd'vith and the numerous failed trials, as well as the thousands who perished within the laboratories of what was then still referred to as the Girothe Helas.
When Neld-Rac ascended to the ranks of Higher Powers in 1121 HE, he departed the Spire, leaving it to the mortals. By this juncture, it had become widely recognized as the Spire of Neld-Rac. Additionally, his renowned lab journals were also abandoned there.
In 1026, an exploratory team dispatched by Bralda-Balc infiltrated the Spire's laboratories, unearthing Neld-Rac's journals. Upon perusing these texts, certain leaders within the criminal organization became ardent proselytizers of Neld-Rac's teachings. A small contingent emerged as zealous devotees, taking up the mantle of preaching and propagating the doctrine of their newfound deity. For the majority, however, their involvement amounted to opportunistic profiteering, capitalizing on the surge of activity surrounding the freshly constructed religious edifices.
Bralda-Balc was disbanded in 1115. Nearly a century after the organization's dissolution, one of its former leaders, now a vampire custodian of the Spire, permitted information to circulate about the journals' continued presence. This appears to have been a ploy to attract humanoid blood, given the nearest humanoid settlement was fifty miles away. A dozen parties perished in the Spire before one succeeded in destroying the vampire lord. This group was employed by the Loremasters of Ermikel. The Lab Journals of Neld-Rac were then transported to Paradomea City and sequestered in the libraries of Nuciregmas.
