Bahamut is a platinum dragon, the sole survivor of his kind. He fought valiantly in the Creation War and later in the Demon Spawn War ( 89 GE - 269 GE ) . One of Bahamut's more formidable adversaries in the Creation War was the primordial lord named Hettar. They engaged in a dozen duels, with Bahamut always making a hasty retreat. In their final confrontation, Bahamut came prepared with a means to counter Hettar's remarkable regenerative abilities. Through a powerful ritual and the application of dragon magic, he infused himself with the blood of a vanquished primordial, one that possessed the body of a hydra and heads of medusa instead of long necks with reptilian heads. Bahamut's subsequent breath weapons were clouds of petrifying gas, turning Hettar to stone.

In 216 GE, Bahamut and Geb captured Kerath.

In the First Dragon Wake ( 218 GE - 235 GE ) , Bahamut confronted and overcame his former general, a dragon transformed into an abhorrent abomination known as Tiamat. Some years after this triumph, Bahamut departed for the Nawenglorûs System. There, on 1 Hollow 238 GE, Bahamut entered the Temple of Ascension, ascending to the rank of Cult Power.

In the Horgon Era, Zeymah'kein, a mighty empire, served as Bahamut's most devoted worshippers from 600 HE to 1600 HE.
