Follower Boons are divine blessings bestowed upon the adherents of a particular deity. They are believed to be correlated to the divine power of the deity, although this claim is disputed among theologians. The quality and quantity of follower boons can sometimes be equal between a cult power and a greater power. Theologians with chaotic leanings may assert that this is a result of renegade primordials dwelling within the infinite expanse of Chaos, while those of neutrality or followers of The Balance may claim that this reflects the natural order of maintaining equilibrium, regardless of a deity's influence.
A creature can only receive boons from one Higher Power at a given time. The adherent, or devotee, must observe the religious rituals of the deity at least once a month to maintain the boons. This worship need not be solemn, yet prolonged enjoyment of the boon without sincere worship is deemed heretical by most faiths.
