Native Bal-Kriav

In 862 HE, the Durkoth arrived at Bal-Kriav in their Helas Vessels. One of these arks landed in the dreary wetlands of Fiit Storn. From the bowels of the vessel Girothe Helas, now known as the Spire of Neld-Rac, the Durkoth emerged with their minions. The leader of this advanced civilization, far from their homeworld, was Neld-Rac. Unlike other Durkoth leaders, he was more interested in laboratory work than dominating the surrounding populace. His experiments led to the creation of the Muneyd'vith race. Their forays into the countryside were bloody affairs, as they sought to enrich themselves while collecting specimens for their Durkoth masters. They looted and plundered, sometimes losing control. The method of calming them was whale oil, an addictive substance that transformed their anger into lust, a sedative that would calm them or send them searching for a mate. The only race that provided offspring were female hobgoblins. It was a surprise to both parents when the offspring were not half-breeds, but an entirely new race.

The hobgoblin matriarch perceived her offspring as a benediction from Tiamat. However, the hobgoblin parent did not retain the specimen for an extended duration. Neld-Rac retrieved the subject and transported it to his Spire for examination, ascertaining that replicating more would manifest organically.

Olura, the homunculus biographer of Neld-Rac, presents "Aggorath Genesis"

The majority of Aggorath individuals are born to Aggorath parents. Whenever they mate with other humanoid species, the resulting offspring is invariably a pure-blooded Aggorath.

The Aggorath are towering humanoids, standing between 6 to 8 feet tall, with a lithe and muscular physique. Their skin is adorned with scales in shades of green and black, and their eyes resemble the serpentine gaze of dragons. Their features are sharp, and while some possess wings and tails, such occurrences are uncommon. They are not considered aesthetically pleasing, and often emanate a pungent odor akin to that of a volcanic wasteland. These creatures possess a profound sense of pride, mirroring the traits of their draconic ancestors. They are capable of subsisting on a wide variety of sustenance, with a preference for raw meat, and they exhibit no qualms about consuming even the most unsavory of prey, such as fly- and maggot-infested carcasses.
