The coastal hold was established by the once-prominent Mir'piamauza Empire, prospering from the abundant marine resources of the Gelomiiz Stov, referred to as "the fishery without want," during the Horgon Era spanning from 526 HE to 1612 HE.
After the Mir'piamauza Civil War (1608 HE - 1612 HE), Tyk-Culten became an independent city-state. Peaceful, they welcome vessels and commerce from all. Made a vassal state of Thashangriel four times, each instance concluded with Tyk-Culten's renowned navy, blockading Thashangriel's harbors and bombarding their coastal strongholds.
To counter Thashangriel, in 899, Tyk-Culten and the city-state of Tulukhan established a mutual defense alliance.
