Period 1209 HE

In 1209 HE, the Mir'piamauza Empire (526 HE - 1612 HE) dispatched an exploratory vessel named the Trielasog. They were entrusted with a daring mission, which, if successful, would earn them freedom and forgiveness of their debts. Aboard the Trielasog were skilled sailors hailing from the empire's jails and coastal labor camps. The sole individual with no criminal intent was a Gradorian captain, seeking to establish a reputation for himself. Departing from Tyk-Culten, the Trielasog's home port, they navigated into a peculiar whirlpool that the dragons had dubbed Lokzii Ven, the Angels' Ways. Having safely traversed this marvel, the Trielasog was carried along a mysterious sea known as the Sea Tunnel.

Traveling along the Sea Tunnel, the Trielasog covered 900 miles in just an hour. Approaching a colossal column of water, rising upwards, the Trielasog came to a halt. Later attributed to a sailor's use of a gaff hook to investigate the anomaly, the Trielasog was pulled in and then carried upwards. The ship's captain, destined to become a national hero and highly prosperous, modestly stated that there was no turbulence, and the deck crew was only lightly dampened by the spray. The journey along the water column concluded with the Trielasog emerging on a misty lake. On its southern shores, they planted Mir'piamauza's flag of Nine Rings, founding the settlement of Varrogrith on 14 Temporal 1209 HE.
