In the Second Epoch, the eastern edge of Cinazan began to suffer from the magical emanations of the COA 411. The Belras Foroderch studied the issue and devised a solution where the energy spilling from the Ice Cap would be diverted back to the Cube of Arcane. This entailed creating structures to act as a magnet for the magical rivulets bleeding off Ice Cap. Unlike the Ice Cap where the Cube's energy results in blue ice and an unparalleled chill at this latitude, the energy seeping towards Skegjold was gradually sapping life energy and impeding the flow of wind and precipitation southward and westward into the area.

The endeavor to construct these edifices was the Voruth Anharr Project. It was funded by the Khazarkar Empire, given that they stood to suffer the most from witnessing their eastern coastline transformed into an arid wasteland. The Nature Protectorate Îbal Nimar is purported to have played a pivotal role in brokering this amicable accord between the Belras Foroderch and the Khazarkars.

The Pharzîmrâth were prepared to compel the Belras Foroderch to carry out the work or face an invasion. Fortunately, my family maintains strong ties with the Minâth-Nôrî and persuaded them that a peaceful resolution with the Belras Foroderch would yield greater benefits than subjugation.

Íbal Nimar, regional report at a Glade Summit - "Diverting the Flow"

The towering fortresses of Voruth and Anharr were constructed to halt the desertification of Skegjold. Their function is to harness energy and channel it back towards the Cube of Arcane. This process is relatively straightforward, as it merely redirects the magical forces northeastward to the Cube. However, the materials required for this endeavor are exceedingly costly, and their origin is known only to the uppermost Daenir Hadír of Belras Foroderch.

The towers constructed in this initiative are components of the Foroderch Cordon.
