The Foroderch Cordon is a series of massive towers spread across the islands and coasts of Erethor. Constructed during the Second Epoch, these towers were built by the cyclops of Fjollaug and others from the islands of Jolmgar. The arcanists of Belras Foroderch were responsible for the magical enhancements to the towers. The first two towers, Anharr and Voruth, were built as part of the Voruth Anharr Project. This initiative aimed to attract and redirect the magical emanations of COA 411, Bal-Kriav's Cube of Arcane, potentially saving the nearby region of Skegjold from desertification.
The structures comprising the Foroderch Cordon were designed to contain, manipulate, and study the magical energy seeping from the Cube of Arcane. The energy escaping the Cube caused the formation of Ice Cap, the cooking of Gludragh, and the treacherous sailing conditions of the Forbidden Sea. The researchers at Belras Foroderch are the most active group investigating and addressing the magical energies coursing through these areas. They own the towers of Gjalldar and jointly own and manage the towers of Skegjold with the Khazarkar Empire.
