Created in the Dawn Era by a Creationist named Sathel, the Sea Tunnel is an extra-dimensional canal connecting two distant oceans on the farthest reaches of the Brucrumus mainland. During the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , it served as a vital Covenant supply line for forces battling the primordials.

The primary entry to the Sea Tunnel is a whirlpool known as Lokzii Ven. After entering this whirlpool, travelers are transported along a safe oceanic channel in a northwestern direction. Along the way, there are two access points to the Sea Tunnel. One is called Rath Vun, a water spout that propels travelers upwards to Angels Wound lake. The next access point, further northwest, is the Sea Breach. Thousands of miles away, the exit of the Sea Tunnel is a reverse whirlpool named Níngoth.

In 1209 HE, a Mir'piamauza exploratory vessel named the Trielasog traversed the Sea Tunnel via the Angels Way whirlpool. The captain logged a remarkable nine-hundred mile voyage to Angels Wound, which was completed in a mere hour's time.

The Sea Tunnel's course mysteriously shifted during the First Epoch for undisclosed reasons.

In 1805, the Wayfarers (commissioned by Paradomea XI Exploration ) conducted a comprehensive survey of the region, reporting that the Sea Tunnel had dramatically shifted its course, now flowing in a northwesterly direction.

The anomaly at first appeared to be nearly a half-mile in diameter. As the Zimantîn drew closer, it was ensnared in a whirlpool twice the size of the original phenomenon.

We were drawn into the vortex. The transition was a safe one. We now found ourselves traversing a sea, passing along a tunnel with shadowy and peculiar edges, an oasis of stability amidst a sea of entropy.

Our expedition was fraught with danger. On two occasions, rogue waves swept across the decks. Our momentum, or perhaps time itself, was unstoppable.

Three days later, the Zimantîn was drawn skyward by a reverse-flowing whirlpool. We now find ourselves 3,000 miles from our initial position, situated on the opposing side of Brucrumus. The commercial ramifications of this Sea Tunnel are truly immeasurable.

The Sea Tunnel is one of Midrêth's paramount maritime thoroughfares. A vessel can traverse the distance from the coasts of Enkii Jusk to Azrinn'nûr in a fraction of the time required by the circuitous route around Brucrumus. The primary access point to the Sea Tunnel is a whirlpool designated as Angels Ways, and the terminus lies 3,000 miles to the northwest at Níngoth.

Properties

The Sea Tunnel can be characterized as an otherworldly conduit. Voyagers have recounted captivating visions of bygone eras and tantalizing previews of potential tomorrows.

Travel Time

The Sea Tunnel, rumored to be propelled by entropic energy, exhibits unpredictable travel times, dispersing vessels that navigate it collectively. The journey through the Sea Tunnel can range from as brief as three days to as prolonged as three months.

Tube

The Tube is the region of the Sea Tunnel where water flows, winds blow, ships navigate, and fish swim along. This vast chamber measures several hundred feet in diameter, consisting entirely of seawater, and is illuminated by an eerie turquoise bioluminescence.

In 1624, the Eracoy, a vessel of our pirate armada, either due to the loss of skilled crew to guide her or perhaps out of sheer audacity, steered to the brink. We tarried for a week in the archipelago of Azrinn'nûr. Regrettably, the Eracoy never resurfaced at Níngoth. Let this serve as a cautionary tale to all seafarers - beyond the edge of the abyss lies the maw of Chaos, an infinite, starless expanse from which few have returned.
