Born on the isle of Bal-Kriav, deep within the Sea of Mourning, Sathel's rise to renown commenced as a sea rogue, a pirate of the depths who preyed upon surface vessels. By the time she reached the age of 22, she had amassed a following of like-minded miscreants. Adorned in lavish fineries, jewels, exotic headpieces, and ornate armaments, she earned the moniker "Sea Baroness" - a title that incurred the ire of those rightfully bearing the distinction.

When the Creation War commenced (1486 DE) , individuals such as Sathel were highly sought after. She did not initially volunteer, viewing the conflict as one between godlike entities. However, when eventually cornered by Covenant forces, she was presented with the option of imprisonment or a role within the military. Sathel opted for the latter, engaging in combat against the primordials.

For two millennia, she was a Tier 3 Creationist, creating the first Durkoth ( 1712 DE ) , the sea elves ( 1798 DE ) , and a multitude of other aquatic lifeforms. She provided guidance to higher-tiered creationists in the shaping of undersea locales that were once barren seabeds covered in water. When not constructing permanent features, she served as one of the Covenant's foremost sea commanders, leading merfolk, triton, and sea elf armies in the depths of Morwuld Briin, Nielalroch, Edhelviel, The Pearl, and other oceans besieged by the Primordial Lords and their minions.

In 2185 DE, Sathel established a military highway known as the Sea Tunnel. Exceeding even the capabilities of a Tier 3 Creationist, she accomplished this remarkable feat with the assistance of the legendary Baton of Sathel. Utilizing this artifact of creation, she forged an extradimensional passage enabling travel between Edhelviel and Morwuld Briin, two distant oceans on opposite sides of the Brucrumus mainland.

In the Demon Spawn War, Sathel served as a naval commander under the Quara'tun Covenant. On 9 Withcrite 115 GE, she utilized her Baton of Sathel, constructing the coastal defenses of Fingeral, safeguarding Pardhaer from seaborne assaults.

On the sixth day of Temporal in the year 250 of the God Era, Sathel traversed the hallowed halls of the Temple of Ascension, emerging as a Cult Power.
