In the Dawn Era, Bahaumut named this great ocean Morwuld Briin, Draconic for "stormy ocean." Morwuld Briin lies south of the continent Amachan and along the southeastern coasts of Brucrumus. It is an expansive body of water stretching for thousands of miles beyond these landmasses, past Angvild all the way to Tarôzîr. The waters beyond Angvild remain largely uncharted, with only the Gimrune having undertaken lengthy voyages across its vast expanse.
Morwuld Briin is subject to formidable storms and cyclones during the months of Bliss and Warper, which can prove advantageous or disastrous for those voyaging at this time.
The seas are traversed by ships of many flags, with their fair share of piracy. The largest presences on these waters are the merchant fleets and naval forces of the Khazarkar Empire and Shounejo.
