The Sea Breach is a vast chasm plunging 1500 feet into a channel of swift-moving seawater. This channel, the Sea Tunnel, is a product of the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , created when a primordial lord named Buldapulax slew ten primordial sand worms. The simultaneous demise of these beasts, with their rift guts connected to Chaos, opened a temporary rift that consumed the surrounding land. Buldapulax's plan to block the Sea Tunnel, a vital Covenant supply line, proved unsuccessful, as the rift instead left the Sea Breach in its wake.

In 446 LE, the Heart of Eden was tested in this area. The Lith-Crillion researchers from the Pyramid of Life were behind this endeavor. They sought to harness the residual energy left by the dead worms and the long-vanished rift. Similar to the events around the Pyramid of Life, the crude energy source transformed the surroundings, though not in the expected manner. The temperate woodlands around the Sea Breach, spanning forty miles in all directions, blossomed into a thriving tropical jungle, incongruous with the encompassing environment. The Nature Protectorates consider it a blessing of The Balance, while the Belêth-Kazîr believe the land was exchanged with that of another realm.

For several centuries during the Horgon Era, the verdant jungle surrounding the Sea Breach served as the lair of an ancient green dragon named Dil'lufeykro. At present, regions of extremely dense foliage frequently conceal winding labyrinths and living quarters that once sheltered Dil'lufeykro and a hundred of her subordinates.
