The colossal Pyramid of Life, the foremost of the Pyramids of Power, was primarily constructed as an energy collection device. Monumental in scale, it also served as the dwelling for hundreds of Lith-Crillion individuals committed to addressing the aftermath of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE) and the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE).

They accomplished the complex magical engineering, while we undertook the arduous physical labor, sculpting the rock and constructing a structure that could potentially endure long after the surrounding world has transformed.

Kollvar, excerpt from the journal of a Knudmid site engineer

The Pyramid of Life was constructed in proximity to a smaller, yet more ancient pyramid known as the Pyramid of Anubis. Serving as the resting place for a Covenant archangel, the Pyramid of Life was designed to harness the life energy seeping from the remains of Anubis. The Lith-Crillion stationed at the Pyramid of Life sought to reverse the damage afflicting the Sands of Hell. The device they powered with this captured energy, the Heart of Eden, failed to meet expectations. However, it did succeed in reclaiming a portion of the desert, giving rise to the thriving settlement of Khimilêth, complete with life-sustaining canals and a surrounding landscape rich in greenery and wildlife.

In 1115 LE, raiders from Gulfrek Hjard seized the Pyramid of Life. Fortunately, most of its inhabitants fled through the Pyramid's teleportation chambers. The raiders, eldritch giants deeply fascinated by all things Lith-Crillion, absconded with scrolls, tomes, including one titled Falling Leaves, as well as weapons crafted from fragments of Golruwyrm's tail.
