In the 86th year, a group of Aarakocra embarked on a journey that would carry them across an expansive expanse of Midrêth. Referred to by the Aarakocra as the Long Flight, they ultimately resettled in Tulukhan.
Tulukhan is a hallowed site of Ares cryptically mentioned in a Scroll of Dawn. This scroll, penned by Ares, alluded to the presence of a massive earth mote anchored in the mountains - a floating battle platform utilized against the hordes serving the primordials and later the demonic scourge that swept Bal-Kriav. The formidable fortress of Tulukhan was employed in both the Creation War and the Demon Spawn War, remaining unconquered. It served as a floating military headquarters for Ares during the Creation War, and then for Asmodeus in the Demon Spawn War.
Ares constructed a lofty celestial location to function as an armory. He excavated it from a colossal levitating rock, imbued with elemental power, and part of the fractured continent of Šadullu. When Bal-Kriav was entrusted to mortals, Tulukhan was magically concealed in a realm encircled by Tiamat's pawns and the minions of Orcus.

The fortunate individuals who have been granted entry to Tulukhan recount tales of warriors adorned in ancient armaments and ornate armor. The oldest suits of armor and shields showcase a crest that once denoted service to Ares. This insignia is no longer utilized by Ares, having been retired and reserved solely for the noble wearers within Tulukhan. Under the watchful eye of escorts, visitors are permitted to venture into the interior of Tulukhan, where they can witness ancient forges and tireless golems carrying out the duties of blacksmiths.
Tulukhan boasts several esteemed academies dedicated to cultivating specialized warrior skills. Those who have attended these prestigious institutions report relinquishing a significant degree of personal freedom during their residency and training. Closely monitored and required to document any excursions beyond the city limits, the pervasive secrecy surrounding these facilities has led some to suspect the presence of concealed elements within Tulukhan.
The city-state of Tulukhan perches atop a colossal earth mote. Situated high in the mountains, it is nearly unreachable without the ability to soar. Many of its inhabitants venerate Melora and Ares.
Tulukhan's two primary adversaries are Zomaar Yelvaad and the Thashangriel empire. Constrained by insufficient strength and resources to fully address these formidable opponents, Tulukhan is party to a longstanding mutual defense agreement with the city-state of Tyk-Culten.
