Kriav is a world within the Tirion System. It was one of the initial worlds forged from Chaos. Aware that the primordials opposed their actions, Bal-Kriav, Corellon, and a cohort of others crafted a Cube of Arcane to safeguard their world. It was also envisioned to serve as a wellspring of magic for the future inhabitants.
In 1301 DE, Kriav's Cube of Arcane collapsed. This Cube Collapse caused Kriav and the entire system around it to become infused with arcane energy. This warped the land, weather, creatures, and everything else about it. To the Creationists who made this realm, the changes caused by the Cube Collapse were too reminiscent of Chaos. The creatures they had placed there were no longer what they had intended, and anything new that was created or born underwent transformations due to the arcane energy now present in everything. This led to an analysis by the Nawirrûs Covenant. The report stated that the Tirion System was becoming overrun with wild fey that wanted nothing to do with the Covenant, preferring a carefree, beast-like existence. The Covenant, and the Creationists behind the change, allowed magic and nature to take their course. It was only much later, in the God Era, that Higher Powers returned to Kriav and other Tirion worlds, seeking divine power through mortal patronage.
In the year 89 GE, the Demon Spawn War commenced with Jurusalax's invasion of Kriav. However, the conflict proved too challenging for Jurusalax, prompting him to command his minions to breach a portal to another realm.
In the year 92 of the God Era, legions under the command of the demon lord Sathumort assailed territories safeguarded by Corellon.
In the year 109 GE, the armies of Jurusalax abandoned Kriav to launch an invasion upon the realm of Bal-Kriav.
Kriav is also the residence of numerous mystical entities and fey. Nearly every being of the realm possesses some magical attribute and is significantly more powerful than the analogous type encountered on Bal-Kriav. Kriav is home to vast numbers of Satyr and centaurs. The latter outnumber those of the Kriavfahliil by a factor of ten. The satyr tribes number in the thousands.
