In the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , Sathumort was a Covenant officer. Hailing from the Durkoth race, he succumbed to the darkness, ruthlessly executing brutal campaigns against the Covenant's Primordial foes. Upon his demise, Sathumort's soul energy was transported to the realm of Azu'tzor, where it underwent a profound transformation, ultimately leading to his rebirth as a Demon.
In the Demon Spawn War ( 89 GE - 269 GE ) , Sathumort utilized an ancient weapon known as Webreaver to reopen the Henmona Rift. Through this bridge between worlds, his forces departed the realm of Nasudex and infiltrated the Cilarrion region of the world of Kriav. In the Year 92 GE, Sathumort's army commenced their assault on the lands and peoples under the guardianship of the Covenant general Corellon.
On 2 War March 135 GE, Sathumort opened another front. Utilizing his rift-making sword, he sundered the Web of Magic, giving rise to the Sathumort Pocket. Several weeks later, the Maeraddyth Brigade journeyed to Sathumort's home on Nasudex, slaying him while the majority of his forces besieged Liamenor.
