During the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), Liamenor served as the headquarters for the Covenant forces under Corellon. It became a vital Covenant Holy Bastion, a major stronghold for coordinating the war across multiple realms.

From the crystalline walls of Liamenor, Corellon orchestrated the military operations against the hordes of a demon lord known as Sathumort. Under his command, the forces totaled close to fifty thousand. When they emerged through the Henmona Rift, they assailed the Cilarrion Region on the world of Kriav.

In the conflict with Sathumort, Corellon's forces adapted to their foe's air assault, relocating the population into the forests and constructing fortified strongholds where the aerial demons held less of an advantage. They built intricate and highly defensive positions amid the trees, and out of necessity became masters of the bow. Liamenor became the epicenter of training archers, light infantry skirmishers, and guerrilla tactics. The wood elves, naturally more dexterous than their Kriavfahliil kin, employed these tactics in the treetops, honing their ability to move swiftly and safely among the branches and vines. They also perfected camouflage techniques to seamlessly blend into the forests.

On 2 War March 135 GE, taking a significant gamble, Sathumort deployed all his reserve forces through a rift called the Sathumort Pocket. Opened several miles from the walls of Liamenor, a portal between the abyssal realm of Nasudex and the world of Kriav, his troops quickly engaged in battle. Liamenor would have fallen, but for a decision by Corellon to send an elite force, the Maeraddyth Brigade, back through the Sathumort Pocket to confront the leader on the other side. The Maeraddyth Brigade traveled to Sathumort's stronghold Una'gah where they permanently neutralized Sathumort.
