Shou

The Shou are a lithe human race concentrated on the continent of Amachan. They possess a yellowish to golden complexion, large golden eyes, and a more slender stature than the typical Tragaran. These individuals are the descendants of nine mortals illegally created by a Covenant sword archon named Zhusalax. When on trial for her unlawful use of a life forge, she claimed the Shou were fashioned out of mere curiosity, but soon recognized the captivating beauty she could produce, prompting her to continue their creation.

The Shou culture is centered around Geejudan - the concept of unifying body, mind, and spirit. The interpretation of this cultural ideal is open to the individual follower. It may manifest as flagellate monks who flog themselves daily to purge the soul of chaotic influence, or the complete opposite - the entropic barbarians of Qibemjues, who assert that their acts of rapine and slaughter open the way for the infinite energies of Chaos. Between these two extremes of Law and Chaos, there exist variations of the two, but one thing is certain: nearly all Shou of Kalaran practice Geejudan.
