In 1330, the Shounejo expelled the Llydaros family. The Llydaros were a radical family advocating for cultural advancements, freedom of expression and ideas, and other principles that empowered the individual - ideals opposed by Shounejo's ruling elite. As a deterrent, Shounejo banished them to Torvild.

The Llydaros family discovered an island abundant in resources on the realm of Torvild. They soon amassed remarkable prosperity and opulence. They exported exquisite jewelry, art, and elegantly crafted poetry scrolls to the neighboring territories of Karterus and Brucrumus. Cultural historians theorize that the Llydaros family's cultural influence may have contributed to a time of remarkable intellectual and artistic renaissance during the midpoint of the First Epoch.

During this period of cultural advancement across the continents, the individuals of Torvild began to seek methods to prolong the lifespans of their most esteemed thinkers, philosophers, and artists. The initial part of this plan was to transform them into sentient undead. Driven, and some may say cursed, by a pursuit of perfecting this craft, they all consented to follow this path once their time had come. Resurrected as undead, they were closely monitored for any inclinations towards evil or deterioration of their mental faculties. As one might anticipate, the more cunning and shrewd among them gathered their strength, with some orchestrating intricate plots over the course of years, even decades. The psionicists of Llydaros devised the Enlightening Transfer as a means to preserve the beneficial aspects of those undead deemed to have progressed too far down an undesirable path.

In the year 1481, the island of Torvild was engulfed by the Dark Revolt. This marked the termination of the Llydaros as mortal beings and the commencement of their immortal existence as the undead.
