The fiery region of Elemantum's southeastern reaches is Anubeth. Situated south of the Magrâbik region and to the east of the frigid terrain of Igas, Anubeth is a land of smoldering passion.
In the Nilkhâs Feud, two sibling wizards escalated their rivalry by crafting two powerful artifacts. Anube claimed dominion over Anubeth, the region named after her, while her brother Igacin seized the adjacent Igas, likewise named for him. When Anube transferred her sentience into the Pumice Throne, empowering it, her first act was to open the Glothreth Rift. This had the gradual effect of transforming the land into a volcanic landscape resembling the fiery expanse of Muspelheim.
The arid, volcanic landscape of Anubeth is constantly shifting and unstable, with active volcanoes spewing smoke and frequent tremors shaking the earth. The terrain can transform dramatically, with new volcanic features emerging unexpectedly overnight.
This region is encircled on three sides by the Elemantum Boundary Ward, a magical barrier constructed to restrain the devastating forces commanded by the Glacial and Pumice Thrones. The open flank of this ward confronts the frozen expanses of Igas.
