Glothreth Rift

The Glothreth Rift is situated in a hewn lava stone canyon overshadowed by the battlements of Glothreth. The rift was opened when the wizard Anube sacrificed her soul to power up the legendary artifact Pumice Throne. This mystical ritual resulted in a one-way rift between the worlds Muspelheim and Bal-Kriav. Fire-loving creatures such as fire archons, fire giants, salamanders, hell hounds, and others have been traversing this gate ever since its opening.

Those who have passed through the rift report feeling a sense of security and compulsion to cross over. Once in Bal-Kriav, within the depths of Glothreth, they are conscripted into military units, urged on by the Pumice Throne, becoming pawns in the ongoing Thrones War ( 751 - present) .
