Vith Alok is a dragon cult devoted to all matters pertaining to Dragon. Their perspectives and interactions with dragons have evolved over time. Initially, their relationship was one of reverence. However, the modern Vith Alok now seeks to exert control, aiming to resurrect them as a dreaded dracolich, and leveraging them to further the cult's ambitions.
In the cult's first six centuries, its members paid homage to the dragons Bahamut and Tiamat. The intrigues of the Galirkrad Empire, spanning from 1301 HE to 1725 HE, are blamed for planting the seeds that would turn the cult to the side of Tiamat. In 1315 HE, Vith-Alok was infiltrated by Whitefang agents. Two years later, they assassinated the cult's founder, concluding seven centuries of leadership under Krahbah.
In the year 1405 HE, the dragon cultists who answered to Tiamat were ruthlessly hunted down and expelled by the crusaders of Zeymah'kein.
In the year 431, the cult endured an additional fracture as a faction opposed the custom of crafting dracoliches. Bound to Bahamut and the ancient traditions, this dissident faction became the Sokei Dein.
In the year 1322, the lich Drog'paagol forcefully assumed the role of the cult's 17 th Dragon Headmaster. Upon taking command, he unlocked the cult's ancient and secretive vaults, distributing potent dragon spells to its dragons and members. In the centuries that followed, spells such as cold curtain, death door, contact archetype, and other arcane draconic magic became increasingly prevalent among the realm's mages.
The cult's foremost objective is the creation of dracoliches. Its secondary aim is employing the formidable power of dragons to execute the cult's machinations. Among the more notable dragons to have accepted the cult's services are Glagengrane, Slag, Flameghulead, Staticikana, Rubicon, and Torfillifus.
The decentralized Vith Alok organization maintains chapters across six distinct regions. While some cells focus solely on the creation of dracoliches, others engage in more complex endeavors, blending dragon blood and ancient rituals with living subjects. These experiments have led to the development of the Ved'ogiim and an increase in the Diiv Kiir population. The Sos Vrii and Whitefang cells are at the forefront of these innovative, yet ethically-questionable, practices.
