East of Hurg's Scar, the region of Laat Viing is a rugged upland characterized by towering cliffs, grand waterfalls, and expansive Dawn Era ruins. During the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), the area's deep fjords served as a hideout for Maen Grirngrim and his grand floating workshop, the Halatrax.
As Viing Qeth transformed into wetlands, an increasing number of fatally wounded dragons sought refuge in this region. Most pass away peacefully, their bones solidifying akin to those of Viing Qeth, while others are enticed by the dragon cultists of Vith Alok; potentially embracing the notion of prolonged existence, becoming a dracolich.
