Whitefang, or Sottisk to Draconic speakers, is an ancient cult dedicated to dragon mastery, research, and the creation of new dragon-blooded creatures. The cult was formed during the reign of Galirkrad. It collaborated with the military to train dragons for war and produce novel dragon-blooded beings. The cult also worked to subvert the dragon cultists of Vith Alok. At the time, this dragon cult was closely affiliated with Zeymah'kein, a highly respected organization that served the interests of their government. Whitefang sought to harm Zeymah'kein by altering the cult's thinking, transitioning from dragon reverence to dragon domination and creation. Whitefang's extensive campaign of subversion, lasting nearly a century, proved costly. By 1405 HE, Vith Alok had largely converted to the path of darkness, with those unwilling to embrace the new ideals fleeing Arkhoisan territory.
In the year 1741 HE, Whitefang sought to join the ranks of Vith Alok. To become a member cell, they first had to conjure a dracolich. On 19 Witchrite 1742 HE, they accomplished this task using the skeletal remains of a deceased blue dragon known as Glagengrane.
In 435, Whitefang's sorcerers engineered the inaugural Diiv Kiir using unnatural techniques. They discovered a way to imbue a pregnant humanoid with the lifeblood of the renowned white dragon, Amaglothorn. Over the ensuing months and years, they infused numerous dwarves and elves. Of those who withstood the process, half remained loyal to Whitefang, while the others returned to Amaglothorn, becoming his devoted servants and soldiers.
In 1215, Drog'paagol persuaded Whitefang to rejoin Vith Alok. Whitefang eventually acquiesced, embracing the expanded pool of knowledge and resources. Currently, Whitefang is a venerable and formidable organization, held in high esteem among Vith Alok's cells. Although Drog'paagol is the Cult's supreme leader, Whitefang is granted considerable latitude to scheme and orchestrate their sinister plots.
Whitefang's headquarters are located in a vast labyrinthine city beneath Viing Prolgiid known as Neben-Skerah. Where it connects to the passages of Viing Prolgiid, the area is enormous, allowing even the largest of dragons to move and fly about freely. This fortified region is constructed with conical apertures that enable dragons to breathe into the spaces, while posing great difficulty for attackers to reach the dragons. When Galirkrad fell to Ashmerthoon, the entrances to Neben-Skerah were sealed with ancient draconic magic akin to icy curtains. During Ashmerthoon 's assault on Neben-Skerah, they suffered terrible losses, leading them to abandon the siege and retreat from the ruins of Viing Prolgiid.
