In the mountains of Sendaar Jusk stands a towering peak of basalt and obsidian, known as Corungrall. During the Horgon Era, this site was a mining location for hobgoblins seeking iron. Their excavations brought them into conflict with the Molcombur. The two sides waged war over the deeper tunnels for decades. The arrival of a blue dragon named Glagengrane altered the course of the conflict, favoring the hobgoblins. Emerging victorious, they then served two masters: Glagengrane and the hobgoblin chieftain Durgol. This dual rule, however, was short-lived, as a heated argument between the two led to the unexpected defeat and death of the dragon. News of this remarkable feat spread far and wide, prompting a surge in the ranks of Corungrall, with giants, goblins, and hobgoblins joining the dragon-slaying chieftain.
News of Glagengrane's demise was rapidly disseminated among the dragon cultists of Whitefang. Seeking to infiltrate Vith Alok, Whitefang was assigned the objective of conjuring a dracolich. A year following Glagengrane's death, tidings emerged that a formidable skeletal dragon had vanquished Durgol and expelled his minions. Glagengrane had made Corungrall his abode for over a century. In the upper reaches of Corungrall, Whitefang soldiers, warlocks, and devotees of Tiamat were stationed.
In 434, Corungrall was assailed by the adventuring troop Platinum Six and several hundred bariaur mercenaries from Aldintir. Their objective was to purge the region of the dracolich Glagengrane and the Whitefang cultists. Glagengrane was slain, and the majority of the Whitefang garrison was eradicated. Thereafter, Corungrall became the new headquarters for the dragon cult Sokei Dein.
