Situated along the southern coastline of Brucrumus, the region known as Hells Womb gradually transitions northward into the gently rising terrain of Grashakh. To the east lies the Aerie of Dragons, while the Lands of Purity stretch out to the west. The sea titans of the now-destroyed Skuttirk empire referred to these coastal areas as Hleirt Vokun, a name later adapted by the Tragarans to the more familiar appellation of Hells Womb, which has endured as the designation for this particular region.
During the Great Exodus (998 - 1017), numerous ships arrived at Hells Womb. Shortly after disembarking on the shores, the Gulimbor refugees encountered resistance from the local inhabitants. Orcs, gnomes, halflings, wood elves, lizard men, and yuan-ti attempted to contain the Tragaran refugees and their rapidly expanding towns. However, these battle-hardened Tragarans arrived in vast numbers, with hundreds of ships ferrying the supplies and remnants of their ruined homelands into their new homeland of Hells Womb. The Tragarans made peace with some, and waged war with others. The orcs of Kamoni suffered the latter, being driven from the region in what became known as the Arduous March (1041 - 1096). The rise of the Kal-Oni Empire brought a period of peace and prosperity. However, the fall of Kal-Oni gave rise to Paradomea and the Council of Bile.
Hells Womb is dominated by malevolent and neutrally aligned societies. During the Second Epoch, the region functioned as a penal colony for transgressors from the Lands of Purity. Numerous convicts gravitated toward the largest and most ancient Tragaran city on the continent. This densely populated, economic juggernaut is known as Paradomea City.
The topography of Hells Womb is characterized by an expanse of towering mountains, verdant valleys, and sweeping plains. Numerous broad and swiftly flowing rivers traverse the length of this region. The rugged landscape of Hells Womb renders it a highly defensible area, as it is surrounded by mountains on three sides and bordered by the Sea of Mourning to the south.
The Hells Womb exhibits an intriguing blend of temperature zones. The region south of the area known as the Temporal Zephyr boasts a tropical climate. Proceeding northward beyond this zone, one encounters a frigid environment. The landscape then transitions into a subarctic climate as one ventures into the Gelugon Range.
The Underdark domain beneath Hells Womb is referred to as Drarthiel.
The Tintibulus Chute, a Pyramid of Power, and the activities of the Palace of Nine are the evident causes of the turbulent and erratic weather that plagues our esteemed region, Hells Womb. Mitigate these factors, and this land shall flourish; failure to act will only result in calamity.
