The Tintibulus Chute is an inter-system rift situated midway between the islands of Stahdim Goz and the southwestern coastlines of the Aerie of Dragons.
This rift emerged during the final stages of constructing the Palace of Nine. The considerable arcane energy invested in its creation induced a Deadening Effect, causing a tear in the Web of Magic. This tear evolved into a rift, a passage between the worlds Bal-Kriav and Tintibulus. Natives of Bal-Kriav can travel back and forth through the rift, limited only by a single day of rift sickness. However, those not native to Bal-Kriav cannot enter the rift from the Tintibulus side.
Once passing through the rift from the Bal-Kriav side, travelers enter the tempestuous sea of Ophusilix. They now find themselves outside the Mortal Systems, in a realm known as Acheron. The worlds within this domain have long stood as battlegrounds between demons and devils, with angels pitted against the malevolent hordes of both factions. No trade ventures through the Tintibulus Chute, for the seas on either side prove too perilous, save for the intrepid few who dare to journey to Tintibulus.
Phoslomor, excerpt from the book "Phoslomor's Survey of MidrĂȘth, Ch. 3-11"
Across the vast expanse on either side of the rift, a ceaseless tempest rages, spanning a distance of two hundred miles.
