The Tempestant Springs were three portals opened by the deity Tempestant. They served as escape routes for the Norderns, a people confronting an existential crisis. This was during the Bombing of Geb, a cataclysmic event that occurs every millennium when the world of Geb's Rain is inundated with the fragments of a shattered celestial body.
Tempestant's Springs continued operations for 18 days. Through these Rifts, three Nordern strongholds, Fathom Two, Bathyl, and Biomechallum, evaded the 1692 Bombing of Geb. These submersible cities ultimately found refuge in the Bog Sea of Bal-Kriav.
Tempestant's direct interference in mortal affairs, a violation of the Mandate of the Heavens, had summoned her to the Halls of Equilibrium. There, she presented her case to The Balance.
Your eminences, the Norderns have endured significant hardship, having been driven from two worlds already and suffering for centuries under the instability of Geb's Rain. With their arrival to Bal-Kriav, I shall double my worshiper base. This will serve to maintain the balance, acting as a counterweight to Poseidon's overwhelming influence over his seas.
