A relic of the Demon Spawn War, Yorthrun Tor is a complex network of canals and fortifications stretching from the slopes of the Daughters of Surtur to a vast lava lake. Comprising lava spillways, canals, sluice gates, towers, and castles, it is a heavily fortified area where the surrounding lands can be engulfed in the blazing fires of two volcanoes. Built by forces under the command of Surtur, a reluctant Covenant ally, Yorthrun Tor proved instrumental in slowing Demogorgon's northward advance into Sector Inirthak.
Crafted from lava stone, concrete, and the formidable Naanabrak, the latter rendering many segments resistant to magical interference, and boasting canal walls a hundred feet in thickness, as well as walls and towers capable of withstanding the stomping of a fire giant army, Yorthrun Tor evolved into a critical Covenant stronghold in the struggle against Demogorgon's seemingly boundless forces.
