Avandra participated in both the Creation War and the Demon Spawn War. In the Great Expanse, her halfling armies confronted those of Hettar, and in the subsequent conflict, they fought against Demogorgon's abyssal legions. Demogorgon's ruthless and genocidal tactics cemented him as a perpetual adversary of Avandra. She also led a specialized operation on the world Cryphoeca, neutralizing the Neogi race for many generations.
The goddess Avandra is venerated by many of Bal-Kriav's halflings. During the Fifth Suellk Invasion, she witnessed the destruction of two of her foremost churches, one in the capital city of Fargimdal and the other in Isumbras. The attacks on Avandra's places of worship were incited by a neogi sect of Mokerrian, seeking retribution for Avandra's attempt to neutralize the Neogi. This occurred during the Demon Spawn War, when it was discovered that Cryphoeca's neogi were planning to ally with the demons. Avandra and her angels used a sacred gas on the neogi decision-makers, intended to sow confusion among them. This gas seeped down into the lower palace levels, infecting hundreds of specially selected neogi eggs destined to produce the most capable and intelligent of the species. The divine toxin rendered all neogi born from these eggs sterile, setting back neogi civilization for several generations.
