Cryphoeca, situated within the Outer Belt, is a diminutive dark-hued celestial body belonging to the Quara'tun System. It serves as the seventh planet from Merioss.
In the Demon Spawn War, the initial Neogi arrived in this realm as a stowaway. Mokerrian proliferated her broods across what would subsequently become renowned as the world Cryphoeca.
In the Demon Spawn War, one Covenant faction sought to prevent the neogi of this world from entering the conflict. In haste to halt the most powerful group of neogi from joining the Abyssal Hegemony, the archangel Avandra used a holy gas on the neogi hatcheries at Salticidae. This had the catastrophic effect of sterilizing thousands of neogi eggs and eradicating all life in the city. At the time, Salticidae was the largest and oldest neogi settlement, and the incident nearly decimated the entire race. Three decades later, after extensive research, neogi alchemists discovered a method to eliminate what they termed "Avandra's Bile."
In the Lith-Crillion Era, a ravenous race, the neogi, farmed and devoured Cryphoeca's creatures and then turned on one another in the Great Neogi War. The sole survivor of this protracted conflict was Arachnidion. Currently, the other void-faring races maintain a vigilant watch over this world. They understand these malevolent, enslaving spiders are intent on subjugation and procuring new food sources.
Cryphoeca has one moon called Chilobrachys.
