The Great Neogi War was a desperate struggle for survival. Having depleted their world's food supply during the Lith-Crillion Era, the neogi empires of Cryphoeca turned on one another in a prolonged and brutal conflict. The sole victor of this era-long war was Arachnidion.
Two eras of devastation might have prompted them to learn about population management or sustaining food supplies, yet they failed to do so. For them, the innate impulse to hunt superseded their own rationality in meeting their needs.
