In the Dawn Era, a group of Lith-Crillion, along with Hades, created the first voidship from a living organism. This team of scientists was led by Anubis, Hades, Ptah, and Set. They viewed Sakhâd, codename 'Set', as the one who took shortcuts and had questionable morals, yet he was the most adept at devising creative solutions. After the Âni-Zandân passed its flight tests, Bruh Kreniik determined it was time to assign the four to more vital tasks. Elevated to 5th Rank Angels, they were dispatched to help lead the armies of the Nawirrûs Covenant.

Late in the God Era, Set stole one of Danzar-Khâl's instruments of creation. In 260 GE, Set illicitly utilized Danzar-Khâl's Surveyor in the establishment of the Khazarkar people; three races, the Corralum, Minâth, and Terrant, were fashioned to fulfill a role within Khazarkar society.

It took three centuries for Danzar-Khâl to locate Set and his unlawful creations. Danzar-Khâl's punishment, along with that bestowed upon his Khazarkar, became known as the Otriring Rebalancing. At the Hall Edicts on Lunia, Danzar-Khâl said to Set before his lengthy journey to prison:

The races that have emerged are castes, with two subservient to the third - a consequence of the absence of the wisdom acquired through the experience of centuries past. They will undoubtedly prove to be a challenging people.

Set is purported to have retorted, "They are my people in the manner I envision them, just like the Dulun-Khâl, who were modeled upon you, forged from primordial muck."

Danzar-Khâl, Preceding the Otriring Rebalancing - "Castes Engineered by Design"

The Khazarkars, once a godless people, began to fervently pray for Set's return. Driven from their homeland of Otriring, they were diligently rebuilding their civilization on the edge of a desolate plain. Weaker than the surrounding peoples, they pleaded for Set's guidance and leadership. By 292 LE, Set had accumulated sufficient divine power to attain the status of a Cult Power.

On 13 Temporal 985, Set slew Jurmalon. Abiding by the Rule of Divine Conquest, Set assumed a portion of Jurmalon's authority, fortifying his dominion over the domain of Darkness.

Set became a lesser power with the end of the Eldritch Civil War (1017 - 1027). During this conflict, the Khazarkar opposing the Eldritch Conclave were fragmented, divided among the churches of Set and Kebechet, as well as the long-established ruling caste of the Khazarkar, the Minâth-Nôrî. With the Conclave defeated, the Church of Set reigned supreme, establishing a monotheistic tradition in the Second Khazarkar Empire that has endured for the past eight centuries.

When the Khazarkar Empire expanded eastward across Cinazan, the spearhead of this advance was not soldiers but rather priests of Set. The Tarkazgir spread the teachings of Set to villages and settlements on the surface as well as those underground. The part-surface, part-subterranean town of Mulun-Dûna has a powerful church of Set. From this town, Set's influence has spread across the region of Faeglor. The drow empire of Runelderil is one of the largest empires to have been converted by the Khazarkar's Church of Set.

The Greater Power Set enjoys a significant following within the Khazarkar Empire, a monotheistic state where the Pharzîmrâth enforces its beliefs through sheer authority.

Among the Khazarkar high priests, a flail termed the Fangs of Set is their preferred armament. The Fangs of Set feature spiked balls resembling the coils of a cobra. Another variant of this weapon is the Jackals of Set, a flail with chains connecting to small iron heads molded in the shape of ominous jackals. These arms also serve as the sacred emblem of Set.
