In 1824, explorers employed by the Khazarkar government ventured into the Mannakhôr Ruin, suffering substantial casualties but managing to retrieve several ancient texts. One of these documents spoke of an enigmatic entity known as the Black Chariot - a sleek, powerful black device capable of traversing the seas undetected and evading magical surveillance. Subsequent analysis led to the hypothesis that the Black Chariot may be a variant of the fabled Eyes, engineered for underwater operations.
After this discovery, the Khazarkars set in motion a long-term plan. They stirred interest in their scheme when more and more Khazarkar vessels were spotted passing through the Buccaneer Archipelago and sailing west into the Mephigax Ocean. The ships were observed in the ports of Iory Asylum, Ba'lith, Paradomea, and the Council of Bile. The Khazarkars claimed to be expanding trade, purchasing ships built for crossing the Mephigax, and establishing relations strained from their shared past. However, the military intelligence of the aforementioned empires would prove otherwise.
In 1825, a Paradomean spy overheard Setarch Phêrî, the religious dictator of the Khazarkar Empire, granting approval for a grand religious crusade. The aim was the retrieval of Set's great submersible. Phêrî declared that as the chosen people of Set, it was rightful Khazarkar property, a sacred relic of their beloved, and sole deity.
In the year 1826, the Chariot War commenced with the Khazarkars assaulting Valdirinwë.
Hidden in a vast chasm beneath the waves, obscured by potent magic, lies a sleek black vessel. The key to unveiling this secret, lost and forgotten in Valdirinwë.
