Otriring is a vast network of caverns situated near the center of Huzar-Arân. In 260 GE, a former Covenant colonel named Set created the Khazarkar race. They originated in the paradise-like conditions of the Otriring Caverns, where Set used life energy and powerful magic to cultivate an artificial environment of abundant resources. This subterranean realm featured artificial light akin to the radiance of Merioss and Khâls Forge, as well as weather and seasonal changes. It was hoped that this carefully crafted environment, along with the guidance of Furrouth educators, would facilitate the rapid advancement of Khazarkar civilization in a world already home to established societies.

In 255 LE, Set's theft of Danzar-Khâl's Surveyor and its illicit usage were uncovered by Danzar-Khâl. Summoned to the Hall of Edicts, Set was charged with the unlawful employment of a tool of creation. The artificial realm of Otriring was to be dismantled, and Set's unlawful creations, the Khazarkar, were to fend for themselves.

They are destined to wander endlessly, existing solely on their own merits as perpetual nomads.

The life energy of the Otriring area was greatly accelerated, ensuring that the region would not be re-inhabited by those seeking to benefit from its flawless artificial environment. This rapid acceleration caused the inhabitants to live an entire lifetime in a matter of days, rendering Otriring perilously dangerous. Anything, even the Higher Powers, could succumb to its supercharged life energy.

The Khazarkar ascended to the surface, laboriously reconstructing their civilization within the confines of Llebres.
