In the Varelay Upheaval (2608 LE - 16 HE), the Sallos bay began to diminish as channels of lava flowed into it from the volcanoes Arhi'phis and Verfaer. This process continues to the present day, though at a considerably slower pace than when Tha'lith was ravaged by the cataclysm.
