In 247 DE, the Prime Architect created the untamed realm of Arvandor. He fashioned it as a wild domain where beasts reigned as the dominant predators for millennia. The Prime Architect imbued these creatures, as well as their prey, with the remarkable ability to swiftly adapt to diverse environments, and some even possessed advanced cognitive capacities. Regrettably, the Prime Architect's actions in the Arborea System - the Creation of Arvandor and other worlds - contravened the Primordial Mandate, incurring the wrath of powerful adversaries seeking to make an example of him and his creations. In times when primordial trackers pursued him, the Prime Architect would retreat to Arvandor, entrusting the beasts to handle his pursuers.
Today, Arvandor is widely recognized as an elven realm, a bastion for the Higher Powers Corellon and Sehanine. While many assume the region to be tranquil due to this association, beyond the islands of civilization, both fixed and nomadic, it remains perilous. A secure zone may be the edge of a city, consistently walled, where a frontier begins where beasts reign supreme. Nomadic bands of wood elves and centaurs roam these untamed wilds, coexisting as both predators and prey. The hardened settlements and fortresses are the domain of the Kriavfahliil.
The vast forests of Arvandor are home to hundreds of wood elf settlements. These wood elves, akin to their urban kin, were all mortal beings who once sworn allegiance to either Corellon or Sehanine. Beyond these pockets of civilization lie expansive territories that remain as untamed and perilous as when first conceived by the Prime Architect.
