The capture of Gulud-Burâg transformed the naturally fortified region of Garâl-Thûru into an intricate system of underground fortifications, effectively thwarting the expansionist ambitions of Varelay.
The defenses consisted of an intricate network of underground tunnels, with hundreds of rope bridges connecting firing platforms and bunkers dispersed across numerous stalactites. The installations on the cavern floor were even more abundant, with the entire fortress system spanning a five-mile diameter. Designed by Blutoid engineers intent on disrupting the schemes of Varelay's demon overlords, Garâl-Thûru became an impregnable stronghold that Varelay's armies could never breach.
In 2501 LE, the long-standing tensions between the city-state of Garâl-Thûru and its southern neighbor reach a resolution with the conquest of Galir-Khizad. Following the cessation of hostilities, these two city-states become territories under the dominion of the Vîlnên Monarchy.
