The Arconulous Band is a watermill-like weapon system mounted on the Pillar of Horns. This vessel boasts two such systems. Each of what would typically function as a water deck for a watermill serves as a gun platform on the Arconulous Band. Every gun is affixed to a disc that operates as a turntable, granting them a broad arc of fire. Furthermore, the platforms are situated farther from the ship's hull, unlike the port and starboard guns, allowing the Band's platform guns to rotate towards the bow or stern. The gun platforms feature a low parapet to shield the crews from aerial attacks and prevent them from falling overboard. During non-combat scenarios, the platforms are covered by netting to enhance safety against high winds or abrupt ship movements.

On the Pillar of Horns, each of its Arconulous Band mounts thirty cannons. These devices are continuously in motion, propelled by a team of undead elephants housed within the ship's hold. These deathless beasts are shackled to them, ceaselessly traversing the treadmills that rotate the bands.

The Gimrune engineer Arconulous devised this weapon system. While proposing his idea to Ba'lith 's War Board, he explained that an Arconulous Band enables gun platforms, akin to the wheel of a watermill, to rotate continuously, with one cannon firing while another stands ready to discharge. This contraption also allows weapons to be brought to bear on enemy vessels approaching from angles where standard cannons may lack the mobility to target. Typically, such acute angles pose vulnerabilities - the blind spots of flying ships. An Arconulous Band helps to mitigate this weakness.
