A Pulax Rhizopod is a spore spear fabricated from a solidified mushroom stalk with a live gray ooze encapsulated within. Upon impact, it inflicts damage akin to a strike from a gray ooze. On a natural 20, the damage is equivalent to that of a black pudding's assault. Creatures slain by such an attack become enveloped in a 2HD green slime possessing maximum hit points. This green slime acts independently, beyond the wielder's control.

The spear possesses the same immunities as a black pudding with 80 hit points. Once these hit points are depleted, the weapon is destroyed, erupting into a cloud of spores that emulates the effects of a gas spore.
