Map Pulax Cavern

In the Faeglor Front, spanning from 228 GE to 261 GE, Pulax served as a base for the army of demons, oozes, puddings, slimes, and other plant terrors commanded by Zuggtmoy. Like the other demon lords of the Abyssal Hegemony, Zuggtmoy desired a foothold in the realm of Bal-Kriav.

By the fifth year of the Faeglor Front, Pulax found itself besieged by the Earthen armies of Geb. Each yard of hard-won ground came at terrible cost, leading to a ring of fortifications, alarms, containment measures, and probing for weaknesses. The situation mattered little to Pulax's demonic Queen, who had numerical superiority on her side. Over the nearly four decades of this conflict, the area of Pulax expanded greatly in size, both from earthquakes caused by her enemies and corrosive demon oozes capable of reducing stone to dust in minutes. These dangerous oozes, which could survive for only a few weeks if removed from the world of Mycorji, were also employed in the construction of grand terraces descending hundreds of feet and spiraling shafts leading to deeper subterranean tiers.

During the era of Zuggtmoy, demon strongholds cloaked in aggressive fungi safeguarded laboratories and farmlands where slimes, molds, gelatinous masses, and fungal horrors were occasionally nourished with the remains of those bound to the Covenant.

The algae-choked waters of Sehk'lith's Moat encircle the ruins of Sehk'lith. In the Faeglor Front, this moat served as a rift connecting the Abyssal realm of Mycorji to this region.

Beyond Sehk'lith's Moat lies the expansive Lake Azu'phis. Within the murky depths of this lake, legends claim the initial green slimes were spawned by the malevolent Zuggtmoy.

Pulax is strewn with ancient ruins and abandoned remnants from the Demon Spawn War. Following Zuggtmoy's banishment, the region has become a haven for slimes, oozes, and plant terrors. The Fungal Vats of Pulax, situated amidst the ruins of Sehk'lith, were once utilized to accelerate the population growth of plants, and continue to function. They are a frequent cause of vast population explosions and ferocious feeding frenzies.
